Supply Chain Engineer

Topos Mondial Corp, a 25 – 30 person industrial machine fabrication and engineering firm in downtown Pottstown PA is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Engineer responsible for managing a bill of material for each machine that our European sister-company (Topos a.s.) produces, as well as managing vending agreements with suppliers for raw materials and parts around the world.  This is a full-time, full-presence position (no WFH).

The engineer will work with our in-house design engineers as well as our European manufacturing engineers to improve lead times and cost efficiency throughout the product lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience, be familiar with the workings of an industrial manufacturing facility/machine shop, have technical inside sales experience, be comfortable on the phone with customers and vendors, and have a firm knowledge base in basic industrial machine parts such as bearings, gears, belts, and motors.

A mechanical and/or electrical engineering background is helpful, with emphasis on interpreting and modifying 2D and 3D drawings and developing simple parts lists. The candidate should be very comfortable using a computer to handle their work and will be fully trained in aACE, an enterprise resource planning software (for asset management).

The position also involves helping develop a lean replacement parts inventory and sales department, with a more efficient inventory, ordering, and receiving system dedicated to replacement parts for existing customers, and domestically procured parts for assembly on equipment being built by our sister company in Europe.
